While Alabama is riding high after their impressive win over LSU, the Mississippi State football program is still trying to recover from tragedy.

Freshman defensive lineman Keith Joseph Jr. and his father, Keith Joseph Sr., who also played at MSU, were killed in a one-car wreck on their way to a high school football game last Friday.

Almost halfway into the college football season and it seems that the lines between the contenders and the pretenders are becoming clearer and clearer. Saturday’s game in Ann Arbor could start to clean up the lines in the Big Ten.

Michigan State got the season off to a hot start with a win over Oregon and have managed to stay undefeated after closer-than-expected wins over Purdue and Rutgers.
