In the words of amped-up former Pitt coach Walt Harris: “It’s a rivalry again!”

Despite some confusion of what exactly we are supposed to call this Pitt-Penn State matchup, Saturday’s game could be unanimously tabbed an edge-of-seat thriller, as the Panthers notched a 42-39 le

Three WPIAL players were drafted into the NFL this past weekend. Former Pitt wide receiver and Clairton standout Tyler Boyd was the first local player off the board when the Cincinnati Bengals made him their second round pick on Friday night.

The Steelers opened the preseason as the odd-on favorite in the AFC North, but injuries and suspensions could open the door for a still-talented Bengals team and Ravens squad looking to rebound from a disappointing 2015.

Pittsburgh Penguins’ head coach Mike Sullivan has obviously spoken several very kind words about his championship hockey team. Sullivan has complimented his team’s speed, chemistry, and teamwork. But perhaps more than anything else, Sullivan complimented their toughness.
